Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in labor and delivery.
The role involves providing high-risk perinatal care in a designated unit.
There are 19 labor and delivery beds, 10 antepartum beds, and 30 postpartum beds.
The team aims for a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio in labor and a 1:3 couplets ratio in postpartum with CNA support.
Night shifts are required, and the nurse may need to float to postpartum.
Candidates will be expected to work on weekends.
The facility handles a high volume of deliveries monthly.
An excellent support system is in place, including skilled RNs, surgical techs, and health unit coordinators.
All certifications must be current and are hard stop requirements.
Mandatory skills include administration of medications, assisting with deliveries, and neonatal resuscitation.
Candidates should be proficient in charting and patient monitoring systems.
