Responsible for attending to newborns during the initial newborn assessment.

Nurse to patient ratio per AWHONN standards: 1:1 on Pitocin for induction or augmentation 1:2 for cervical ripening (Cytotec or low dose Pitocin) 1:2-3 for antepartum (depending on acuity) 1:2-3 for triage 1:1 for immediate postpartum (2 hours post-birth for mother and baby) Dress code is navy blue or pink scrubs.
