Must-Have:
- Minimum of 2 years of high-risk Labor and Delivery experience
- Ability to circulate C-Sections in the operating room
- Experience in titrating drips, including oxytocin and magnesium sulfate
Description:
MUST be able to circulate C-Sections in the operating room.
Unit consists of 22 Labor and Delivery beds, 2 operating room suites for C-Sections, and 7 triage beds.
There are 34 postpartum beds available.
The unit handles approximately 8-12 births per day.
The unit follows AWHONN guidelines for staffing ratios as much as possible.
Nurses will be required to read their own fetal monitor strips using GE Corometrics system.
Staffing includes surgical techs.
Anesthesia is available in-house 24/7.
Advanced practice providers are in-house 24/7.
The facility has a Level III NICU, but neonatologists are not in-house 24/7.
Self-scheduling is available, but travelers are expected to fill in where needed.
Weekend and holiday work is required.
There is a call requirement of 18 hours every six weeks, with scheduling done in six-hour increments.
Nursing staff is expected to float to the postpartum unit as needed.
Professional attire is provided by the facility.
Nurses must have experience with a variety of antepartum complications, including pre-eclampsia and diabetes in pregnancy.
