Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience, 1 year of Cerner experience License: Current licensure by the state board of nursing Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Proficiency in labor, postpartum, and special care Description: Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and families. Effectively communicates pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions. Demonstrates clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the assigned unit or department. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare personnel. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
