**Job Description:**

- As a competent Nurse, practice independently in a dynamic clinical setting while staying aware of all relevant aspects of patient care.
- Provide both routine and complex care with a focus on long-range goals and effective management of clinical contingencies.
- Take on a leadership role by making appropriate assignments and delegating tasks to enhance the clinical situation for your team.
**Responsibilities:**
- Meet and exceed expectations in line with the OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Utilize the nursing process - assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation - to deliver exceptional care.
- Address the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments according to protocols while closely monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document comprehensive patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
- Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers on various health issues and available resources.
**Job Requirements:**
- **Education/Skills:**
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- **Experience:**
- 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty (preferred).
- **Licenses & Certifications:**
- Current certification from **AWHONN Intermediate FHM**, or **NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)**.
- Current BLS Certification (AHA only).
- Current NRP Certification.
- Current ACLS Certification (AHA only).
- RN License in the state of TX or compact.
- **Position Requirements:**
- Newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
- All new hires will be precepted by a trained staff member, with initial onboarding validated through competency verification.
- Completion of annual competency verification requirements is essential.
- **Experience:**
- Perinatal RN Residency or recent practice in a Perinatal Setting (preferred).
