The nurse will work in a fast-paced environment focusing on labor and delivery services. The role requires the ability to float between labor, mother-baby, and antepartum units based on needs. The nurse will be responsible for providing care to women of childbearing age and newborns. Patients may present with high-risk complications requiring quick assessment and intervention. The expected nurse-to-patient ratios will range from 1:1 to 1:3 couplets. Candidates must be prepared to work weekends on an alternating basis. Call duty is required on scheduled shifts if cancellations occur. Additional requirements include undergoing a pre-employment background check and providing references. The facility operates with a locked unit and utilizes an electronic health record system for charting. Nurses are expected to maintain high standards of patient care and safety. Floating to other units and facilities may be required based on patient care needs. A vehicle will be necessary for this assignment.
