Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Labor & Delivery and Postpartum patients within a 25-bed unit encompassing L&D, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery, 2 ORs, 2 Recovery Rooms, and 2 ANU rooms
• Manage patient ratios of 1:2-3 for evaluations, 1:1 for active labor, Magnesium drip, or epidural patients, and 1:3-4 for Postpartum patients
• Perform circulating duties in the OR as required
• Provide newborn care and monitoring within the unit
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR

Required Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) License
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification required (renewal every 2 years)
• Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery and Postpartum nursing experience
• Proficiency in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, circulating, and newborn care skill sets

Preferred Experience / Skills

• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Experience working in a high-census maternal-newborn unit with an average daily census of 15-25 patients
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records
