Key Responsibilities
Provide direct inpatient care to obstetric patients throughout labor, delivery, and surgical delivery
Monitor fetal well-being and administer medications specific to the obstetric patient population
Complete initial patient assessments upon admission and develop, implement, and modify individualized plans of care
Maintain accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation to support continuity of care across the healthcare team
Deliver patient and family education specific to the obstetric population
Uphold patient and employee safety standards by identifying and reporting safety hazards and incidents
Required Qualifications
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant registered nursing experience
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required
Active Illinois RN License in good standing
BLS certification (American Heart Association)
ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
NRP certification (American Heart Association)
Preferred Experience / Skills
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
