Willingness to work a minimum of every other or 8 weekend shifts
Description:
This position requires a registered nurse proficient in labor and delivery as well as postpartum care.
The role demands a comprehensive understanding of managing high-risk deliveries and assisting with intervening treatments.
The nurse will be responsible for both maternal and neonatal assessments, ensuring the well-being of both mother and child.
Experience in charting systems such as Epic is strongly preferred.
Candidates must hold current certifications in ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, and NRP.
The environment includes both healthy and acutely ill childbearing individuals.
This unit sees a variety of conditions including pregnancy-related complications and high-risk cases.
Registered Nurses will also be responsible for administering medications and monitoring patient responses.
Candidates should be prepared to manage labor, delivery, postpartum, and well-baby care as required by staffing needs.
The workload will include a patient ratio that meets AWHONN staffing standards.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team are essential for success in this position.
This role is critical in providing optimal care for families during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.
