License: Current registered nurse license in the state
Certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE
Must-Have: Experience in Labor and Delivery and Postpartum; active RN license
Description:
The registered nurse is a professional caregiver who plans, provides, and directs patient care and education.
He/she utilizes the nursing process in accordance with patient care standards and physician orders.
Acts as a liaison between physicians, patients, and families.
Collaborates with other healthcare members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Assists in the orientation process of new personnel and may participate in health center and department committees.
Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care based on chronological age, developmental age, and psycho-social maturity.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments according to established standards.
Participating in the establishment of a collaborative plan of care based on assessment data.
Implementing and evaluating the plan of care based on identified patient goals.
Completing all documentation according to established standards.
Assessing the readiness of patients and significant others to learn and implementing individualized education plans.
Actively participating in department initiatives, including in-service opportunities and project committees.
Providing age-appropriate care as detailed by organizational policies.
Performing all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, and applicable professional standards.
Ensuring an excellent service experience for all customers through consistent demonstration of performance standards.
