Description:
This position floats between units as needed.
Weekend shifts are required, with some shifts on holidays.
The nursing ratios expected are Labor 1:2 and Antepartum 1:3.
Candidates should have experience with acute care and high-risk deliveries.
Specific skills include administration of medications and monitoring maternal health.
Experience with conditions such as pre-eclampsia, diabetes, and VBAC/TOLAC is required.
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the management of laboring patients.
Knowledge of induction and augmentation techniques is expected.
Successful candidates will be able to perform assessments and manage maternal emergencies.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment are essential.
This role involves care for a patient population that includes neonates, infants, adolescents, and adults.
The unit provides a comprehensive range of services, including support from various interdisciplinary teams.
Candidates should be prepared for a diverse set of patient diagnoses and care requirements.
