Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid state license required Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: Experience in facilities handling 100-200 deliveries preferred. Must have certifications as specified. Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. Candidates will be working in a facility that offers comprehensive maternity services and neonatal care. Experience in high-risk perinatal care is required. The unit has a capacity of 19 labor and delivery beds, 10 antepartum beds, and 30 postpartum beds. Nurses will be responsible for a 1:1 patient ratio in labor and a 1:3 couplet ratio in postpartum care. Triage will be staffed with skilled registered nurses. There will be a requirement to float to postpartum as needed. Weekend shifts will be required, and the ability to support patients with high-risk needs is essential. Candidates should have skills in various areas, including administration of medications, monitoring fetal heart rates, and providing education to parents. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. All necessary certifications must be obtained prior to employment.
