Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor & Delivery setting, including management of laboring patients and postpartum care
• Circulate and scrub for cesarean sections as required
• Float to the High-Risk Obstetric Unit (HROB) and up to designated nearby facilities based on staffing needs
• Complete orientation modules and pass the Dysrhythmia exam within 72 hours of signing (two attempts allowed; must be completed on a PC - iOS devices are not compatible)
• Adhere to unit ratios; candidates should be prepared for environments with higher patient volumes (1:6 ratio experience expected)
• Participate in every-other-weekend (EOW) scheduling; one winter holiday and one summer holiday are required

Required Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license (or Compact license with active NJ privileges) - must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses are not accepted
• ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required - all must be active and in hand at submission; BLS must not expire within 30 days of assignment start
• Minimum of 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience; 2 years of specialty experience preferred with recent experience within the last 12 months
• Ability and willingness to circulate and scrub for c-sections
• Experience with EPIC EMR
• Nursys verification dated within 2 weeks of submission reflecting an active license
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the primary facility are subject to the local rate and are not eligible for travel compensation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in high-volume Labor & Delivery environments with 1:6 or higher patient ratios
• Familiarity with High-Risk Obstetric (HROB) patient populations
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred (first-time travelers considered)
• Ability to float seamlessly across multiple facilities within the designated hospital network
