Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery Nurse – Virginia

Start Date: July 6, 2026

Location: Richmond, Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every third weekend; includes 12 hours of call per 4-week schedule

Highlights:

  • 24-bed Maternal Infant Unit providing comprehensive obstetric and newborn care
  • High-volume LDRP setting with diverse case mix including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, antepartum, postpartum, and nursery care
  • Labor patient ratio of 1:1 (most assignments), postpartum and nursery ratios of 5-6:1
  • Meditech and CPN EMR systems; GE fetal monitoring equipment
  • Collaborative team of 71 nursing professionals with dedicated educators and leadership support
  • Navy blue scrubs dress code with specialized infant security protocols

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
  • AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification required
  • Experience in high-volume LDRP settings strongly preferred
  • Valid RN license in Virginia or ability to obtain prior to start date
