Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Labor and Delivery and Mother Baby Center.
Registered Nurses work in both labor and postpartum settings.
Shifts consist of three 12-hour days or nights.
The average daily census is approximately eight deliveries and 15 postpartum patients.
Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience in Labor and Delivery with postpartum care.
First-time travelers are accepted for this role.
Weekend work is required, with a schedule of every other weekend.
There are no on-call requirements, but staff may float within the facility as needed.
The facility does not accommodate block scheduling.
Local candidates are not accepted beyond a 100-mile radius.
There are ideally no more than five days of requested time off permitted.
The facility may cancel up to three shifts without penalty or obligation.
Experience with sterile vaginal exams and fetal monitoring skills is essential.
Registered Nurses will provide care for a diverse patient population, including neonates and adults.
The daily census includes both labor and postpartum care.
Specialized care is offered for patients undergoing cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries.
Interdisciplinary support services are available within the facility.
The unit features 13 labor and delivery beds, five triage rooms, and 27 postpartum rooms.
Candidates must comply with state background check requirements and ensure all necessary documentation is ready before the start date.
