Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 Year Required License: Compact License Required Certifications: - BLS - NRP - ACLS - AWHONN Advanced - AWHONN Intermediate Must-Have: - High-risk experience - Ability to work in fast-paced, high-acuity environments Description: Candidates must have prior experience in Labor and Delivery. Must have high-risk experience, including working with midwifery clients and private OBs. Responsible for functioning in the role of Baby Nurse during deliveries. Care will continue for the newborn until transfer to postpartum. Candidates must be able to circulate and provide care for newborns, including assessments and necessary injections. This position requires working every other weekend and holidays as needed. Floating to postpartum and antepartum may be required. Experience with electronic fetal monitoring is essential. Staffing will follow established guidelines for nursing practice. Candidates will encounter a high-volume labor and delivery environment with a daily census of around 15 patients. Concurrent procedures and high-risk deliveries will be common in this role. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care is essential. All scheduling requests should be made up front during the application process. Refusal to float as needed may result in termination of the assignment. Candidates must commit to working a minimum of three holidays during the contract period. References from previous employment within the last three years are required during the compliance process.
