Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery; 3 years preferred with charge experience. License: Current nursing license required. Certifications: C-EFM through NCC required at the time of submittal. BLS, NRP, STABLE required. ACLS preferred. Must-Have: Strong experience in Labor and Delivery, preferably with mother-baby care. Scrub experience preferred. Cerner experience preferred. Completed at least one travel assignment. Description: We are seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse. The role involves providing comprehensive care to patients during labor and delivery. The nurse will assist with high-risk deliveries and provide support during postpartum care. The candidate should have experience with various procedures including cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries. Skills in assessing fetal heart rates and managing both the mother's and the newborn's health are essential. The nurse will float to mother-baby units if qualified. Call is required, with a commitment of two shifts every six weeks. Weekend work is mandatory, with a patient ratio of 2:1. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams. A commitment to maintaining high standards of care and patient safety is expected. Familiarity with charting systems is necessary. Daily responsibilities include monitoring patients, administering medications, and assisting with pain management. Experience with high-risk pregnancies and interventions is preferred. Candidates must be prepared to scrub for procedures as needed.
