# Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery / LDRP Registered Nurse – North CarolinaStart Date: October 5, 2026Location: Charlotte, North CarolinaCompensation: Details provided to qualified applicantsSchedule: 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM), 36 hours per week, 8 weekend shifts per 13-week contractHighlights:- Low-risk LDRP unit with 15 rooms/17 beds providing comprehensive maternal and neonatal care- Dual role responsibilities including Labor & Delivery and Couplet Care with ratios of 1:1-2 for labor patients and 1:3-4 for postpartum couplets- Comprehensive skill utilization including labor support, C-section circulating, PACU recovery, and newborn stabilization- 24 hours of orientation including hospital orientation week plus unit-specific training- Epic EMR system with supportive interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams- 13-week contract assignments available with first-time travelers acceptedRequirements:- Minimum 2 years of RN experience with both Labor & Delivery and Mother/Baby (Couplet Care) experience required- Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)- Required Certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring, NRP, STABLE- Proficiency in antepartum care, fetal monitoring, IV therapy, neonatal care in delivery room, postpartum procedures, and couplet care- Experience with Epic charting system strongly preferred- Must be comfortable circulating for cesarean sections and recovering patients in PACU- Ability to work occasional call shifts if census is low and minimal floating requirementsWhy It's a Great Opportunity:This position offers experienced Labor & Delivery nurses the opportunity to utilize their full skill set in a supportive community hospital environment.
