Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care within the L&D, Mother/Baby, Postpartum, and OB unit
  • Monitor and assess laboring patients using the PeriCalm fetal heart monitoring system
  • Document patient care and clinical information using the Athena EMR
  • Collaborate with family practice providers and on-call support services including pharmacy and CRNA as needed
  • Float to MedSurg as needed to support unit staffing
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification required
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
  • Willingness and ability to float to MedSurg as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior experience in a low-volume or critical access hospital L&D setting
  • Familiarity with the PeriCalm fetal monitoring system
  • Experience with Athena EMR
  • Comfort working in a setting without in-house OB or neonatology coverage
