Schedule: 12-hour day shifts (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM), 36 or 48 hours per week available. Every other weekend required. Floating within Women's Services as needed.
Highlights:
- High-volume birthing unit with 400+ births per month and 21 labor and delivery rooms
- 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio with comprehensive care from triage through recovery
- Epic charting system with full interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory, radiology, and rapid response teams
- 13-week contract with orientation including Epic training, 2 days on unit, and OR training
- Experience with complex obstetrical cases including preterm labor, multiple gestations, preeclampsia, and postpartum hemorrhages
- Scrubs provided; up to 7 days of pre-approved time off available
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- Experience with at least 400 births per month facility required
- Current North Carolina or Compact state RN license
- Required certifications: BLS, AWHONN Intermediate (or Advanced), and NRP
- Epic charting experience required
- Must be proficient in IV starts, multiple drips (Pitocin, magnesium, insulin), labor inductions, epidural management, and circulating in the OR
- Must be able to recover C-sections
- First-time travelers accepted; local candidates welcome
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions available)
