Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Valid Compact license required Certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRPS Must-Have: Must have a vehicle for this assignment Description: First-time Labor and Delivery RN position available. The role may require floating between units based on needs. On-call duty is required for scheduled shifts if cancelled. Weekends are required every other week. Block schedules are not required. Expected patient ratios are between 1:1 and 1:3 for couplets. The position requires dealing with high-risk cases. Additional information: Looking for a nurse willing to float to areas of need. Daily census includes approximately 200 births per month. This position involves caring for women of childbearing years and newborns. The role may involve special procedures and interdisciplinary support. Candidates may be required to assist with various labor and delivery tasks. Fetal monitoring experience is essential. The unit has a Level III NICU and utilizes specific monitoring systems. If floating to other facilities, travelers may receive an incentive. Travelers may be provided housing if floating consecutive shifts. This role requires adaptability and willingness to meet unit needs. Travelers who refuse to float may face termination of assignment. References covering recent employment history are required. Two references are necessary from the past year. Candidates may be expected to work on holidays. Specific scheduling requests must be made upfront during the application process. Any inflexibility with the contracted schedule may lead to termination. All modules must be completed prior to starting and during orientation.
