**Job Description:**

**Key Responsibilities:**
* Lead with confidence by meeting OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
* Provide nursing care aligned with ANA Scope and Standards, utilizing the nursing process — assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
* Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families with compassion and understanding.
* Administer medications and treatments per protocols while monitoring for effectiveness and side effects.
* Capture all patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided with meticulous documentation.
* Assess learning needs and educate patients, family members, and caregivers on relevant issues and resources.
**Position Requirements:**
**Education/Skills:**
* Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.
* Newly hired experienced RNs must complete New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days.
* Undergo dedicated precepting by trained staff and validate initial onboarding through competency checks.
**Experience:**
* A minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery or related specialty is preferred.
* Recent practice in a Perinatal Setting or completion of a Perinatal RN Residency is a plus.
**Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:**
* Current AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) certification is required.
* Current NRP, ACLS, and BLS certifications from AHA are required.
* Valid RN License in Texas or compact is essential.
**Work Schedule:**
* Days, from 7 AM to 7 PM.
**Work Type:**
* Full-Time.
