Key Responsibilities of the RN - Labor and Delivery- Meet the expectations of OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders
- Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Administer medications and treatments according to protocol and monitor for side effects and effectiveness
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers
Requirements of the RN - Labor and Delivery- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred
- 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
- Current certification required from AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
- Current NRP certification required
- Current ACLS certification required (AHA only)
- Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
- RN License in the state of TX or compact
