Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Women's Services Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent RN Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN & L&D/LDRP experience License: Must hold a valid RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE & AWHONN certifications Must-Have: - Experience in OB/GYN patient care, Antepartum care, Triage care, Labor and Delivery care, and Postpartum care Description: Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care appropriately. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluates learning needs of patients and/or families and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Acts as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Circulates during C/Sections and attends deliveries, assisting the physician as needed. Follows appropriate policies during recovery and care of surgical patients. Attends the neonatal station in the C/Section suite and assesses the neonate post-delivery. Attends fetal monitoring certification classes every two years. Holds NRP certification and attends STABLE certification class if offered. Identifies necessary information to communicate to physicians and patients.
