Schedule: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Full-Time

Requirements:
  • Active RN License in the state of Texas or compact state license
  • Current BLS certification (AHA only)
  • Current ACLS certification (AHA only)
  • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
  • Current certification in fetal monitoring: AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in perinatal or related nursing specialty preferred
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Completion of Perinatal RN Residency or recent experience in a Perinatal setting preferred
Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
  • Administer medications and treatments following appropriate protocols; monitor for effectiveness and side effects
  • Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
  • Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and timely
  • Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
  • Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers to optimize clinical outcomes
  • Participate in New Nurse Orientation and complete organizational competency validations
