Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – Ohio
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: Travel assignment with 1:1 patient ratios. Float requirements to antepartum and other units as needed. 36-hour orientation provided.
Highlights:
- High-volume Level 4 Labor & Delivery unit with approximately 450 deliveries per month
- Epic electronic medical record system experience required
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Patient care includes neonates, adolescents, and adults across antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum services
- Up to two pre-approved time off periods available
- Parking options available with shuttle service or garage access
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- NCC C-EFM certification acceptable in lieu of AWHONN Advanced certification
- Proficiency in IV starts and Epic charting system required
- Valid Compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission
- Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- 2 professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
- Previous travel experience preferred
- Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
Key Clinical Skills:
- Administration of blood products, epidural anesthesia management, and magnesium sulfate therapy
- Vaginal delivery, cesarean section circulating, and C-section recovery
- External and internal fetal monitoring, IUPC placement and calibration
- Recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Management of high-risk antepartum patients and pregnancy-induced hypertension
- Postpartum hemorrhage management and multiple births support
- Breastfeeding and lactation support
Important Compliance Information:
- Strict compliance deadline of Tuesday prior to start date – no exceptions
- Ohio fingerprinting must be completed immediately upon signing contract
- Candidates outside Ohio but within driving distance must travel to Ohio for fingerprinting as soon as possible after booking
- Candidates at extreme distances will receive a mailed fingerprinting packet to complete urgently
- Former employees must have been away from the facility for 6 months or more to be eligible
