Description:
The facility requires a Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery specialty.
The shift is from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
The unit consists of 7 beds and currently has 4 night nurses on staff.
The nurse will work a 1:3 patient ratio, varying by census and acuity.
Equipment used includes GE fetal monitors, Panda warmers, IUPC, Kiwi vac., and Koala IUPC.
The electronic medical record system used is Epic and CPN connect.
On call requirements include 2 shifts on call per four-week schedule.
Weekend requirements are for 2 weekends, variable depending on staffing.
Typical procedures performed on the unit include induction, C-sections, vaginal delivery, D&C, cerclage, versions, and bilateral tubal ligation.
Triage, NST, OB injections, OP infusions, and IUFD care are also performed.
Ideal candidates are flexible, cheerful, positive, team players, quick learners, accountable, adaptable, and capable of mentoring.
Candidates without the essential skills will not be considered for this role.
Preferred skills include performing SVE and placing IUPC and FSE.
The unit adheres to protocols for no elective pre-39-week deliveries, Pitocin, hypertension, postpartum hemorrhage, and malignant hyperthermia.
There is a Level II NICU with onsite pediatric hospitalists.
