Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – Ohio
Start Date: November 2, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: Travel assignment with 1:1 patient ratios during days and nights. Orientation includes 36 hours. Float requirements may apply to other units within the organization as needed. Weekend coverage and call requirements to be discussed during interview.
Highlights:
- High-volume Level 4 Labor & Delivery unit with approximately 450 deliveries per month
- Modern Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
- Diverse patient population including neonates, adolescents, and adults
- Two pre-approved time-off periods available during contract

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
- Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP required
- NCC C-EFM certification acceptable in lieu of AWHONN Advanced
- Proficiency with Epic charting system required
- IV start skills and Labor & Delivery experience mandatory
- Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Previous travel experience strongly preferred
- Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
- Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
- Completion of Ohio fingerprinting process required upon contract signing
Core Skills & Competencies:
- Administration of blood and blood products
- Antepartum and postpartum care
- Labor & Delivery, vaginal delivery, and cesarean section support
- Fetal monitoring (external and internal) and interpretation of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- High-risk antepartum management and pregnancy-induced hypertension
- Magnesium sulfate therapy and Pitocin administration
- Epidural anesthesia management and pain assessment
- Postpartum hemorrhage recognition and management
- Newborn care including APGAR scores, thermoregulation, and breastfeeding support
- Use of infusion pumps, central line maintenance, and IV therapy
- Triage of obstetrical patients
