Job Title: Travel RN - Labor and Delivery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: 1 year labor and delivery experience AWHONN intermediate fetal monitoring certification Labor triage experience Operating room circulator experience (C-section, tubal ligation, D&C, vaginal repair, etc.) Newborn resuscitation experience Description: Travel RN needed for Labor and Delivery unit. The assignment is for a duration of 13 weeks. The shift is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The unit has 7 beds and a minimum of 3 staff members during the day and night shifts. Staffing includes 2 RNs and 1 surgical tech on each shift. Patient ratios follow AWHONN acuity staffing ratios. The role requires proficiency with GE and Centricity Perinatal EMR, specifically EPIC. Candidates must possess labor and delivery experience. Responsibilities include the induction of labor, vaginal delivery, C-sections, and tubal ligation. Candidates should also be skilled in labor triage, antepartum care, D&C, vaginal repair, NST, IUFD, steroid injections, and external cephalic version. A team player who is flexible, accountable, and honest will best fit the team's culture. Floating to patient care technician may occur during low census periods. Weekend and on-call duties are scheduled as needed to meet unit demands.
