Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery.
The nurse will work night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.
Guaranteed hours are not specified.
The nurse will be responsible for attending to patients in the antepartum or postpartum units.
Ratios for patient care will be 1:2 for antepartum or postpartum, up to 4:1.
Floating to other units within the service line is required, including to sister facilities if necessary.
The nurse must possess specific skills, including administration of blood products, support for labor and delivery, and neonatal resuscitation.
The nurse may participate in various procedures such as cesarean sections and inductions.
This position requires effective communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
The nurse will care for patients across all age groups, including neonates, adolescents, and adults.
The unit sees a daily census of 10 with up to 15 beds available for patients.
High-risk antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care will be part of the responsibilities.
Pre-approved time off is limited to 10 days during the contract period.
This position is not open to first-time travelers.
Weekend and on-call responsibilities may apply based on unit needs.
