Description:
This position is for a Seasonal Travel RN in Labor and Delivery.
The unit has 29 beds, 4 operating rooms, 3 PACU bays, 12 antepartum rooms, and 10 triage rooms.
There are 148 staff members.
The day shift consists of 22 RNs, 2-3 surgical techs, 1 charge nurse, and 1 flex staff.
The night shift consists of 20 RNs, 1-2 surgical techs, 1 charge nurse, and 1 flex staff.
Patient ratios are 2:1.
Typical equipment includes Centricity and GE monitors.
The electronic medical records are managed via Meditech and CPN.
Typical procedures performed on the unit include vaginal and cesarean deliveries, dilatation and curettage, hysterectomy, postpartum tubal ligation, cerclage placement, and version procedures.
Experience in high-risk obstetrics is essential.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently and support fellow team members.
