The facility has a 15-bed L&D unit, a 20-bed High Risk Unit, and an 8-bed OB Triage. Candidates must be familiar with Magnesium and insulin drips. Advanced NRP certification and experience with advanced external fetal monitoring are required. There is a possibility to float to another Labor & Delivery unit if needed. The unit adheres to AWHONN guidelines. Patient ratios are 1:1 in active labor and two patients in early, latent labor. Charge nurses will oversee both L&D and the high-risk unit, and baby nurses will assist with deliveries. The schedule consists of 36 hours per week, with every third weekend and holiday rotation. Commitment to attendance is crucial, with no tolerance for calling in.
