First-timers are accepted depending on experience. Certifications required include BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced, FHM, and NRP. Floating to other areas of the hospital is required if there is a need. Weekend requirements include 4 days per 4 weeks. Charting experience with Epic is essential. Candidates must have prior charge experience preferred and community hospital experience also preferred. Patient age groups served: neonates, adolescents, and adults. Daily census ranges from 0 to 12. Unit includes support from interdisciplinary teams such as respiratory services and social services. Unit is equipped with 6 LDRP rooms and 3 triage beds. Specialty procedures include assistance with high-risk deliveries and postpartum care. Candidates must possess skills in various areas such as administration of blood products, breastfeeding support, and neonatal resuscitation among others. Recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns and various obstetrical assessments are required. Candidates must exhibit proficiency in managing postpartum hemorrhage and high-risk antepartum cases. Experience with special equipment including cableless monitors is preferred. Work history at previous locations will affect eligibility for this position.
