Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years in Labor and Delivery
License: Current RN license required
Certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate course required
Must-Have: Travel experience in Labor and Delivery
Must-have skills include administration of blood and blood products, amnioinfusion, managing high-risk deliveries, and neonatal resuscitation.
Description:
We are currently seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse.
The nurse will provide care to patients during labor and delivery.
Responsibilities include conducting Non-Stress Tests and assessments.
The nurse must be skilled in the use of External Fetal Monitoring and Internal Fetal Monitoring.
Experience with medical conditions such as pre-eclampsia, diabetes mellitus, and multiple gestations is essential.
The role involves assisting in vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and responding to obstetric emergencies.
Candidates must possess strong skills in pain management and be familiar with the administration of medications such as Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate.
The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams during patient care.
Knowledge of neonatal care, including newborn assessment and thermoregulation, is necessary.
The ability to work in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
Candidates should be adaptable and willing to float to affiliated units as needed.
This position requires a commitment to patient-centered care.
