Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: ACLS AWHONN Intermediate BLS NRP Must-Have: Experience floating between Labor & Delivery, Client Special Care, and Postpartum Call and weekend coverage required Description: Seeking an experienced healthcare professional for the Women & Infant Float Pool. Required to float between Labor & Delivery, Client Special Care, and Postpartum. ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP certifications are required. AWHONN Advanced and EFM experience are preferred. Responsibilities include administration of blood and blood products. Experience with antenatal care and antihypertensives is necessary. Candidates should be familiar with baby-friendly protocols and bladder assessment. Support breastfeeding and provide instructions to new mothers. Knowledge of cesarean sections, couplet care, and discharge teaching to parents is essential. Must be proficient in fundus, lochia, and perineum care. Experience with magnesium sulfate therapy and maintaining central lines is needed. Ability to assess newborns for hypoglycemia is necessary. Candidates should be able to perform non-stress tests (NST) and manage pain assessment. Vaccine administration experience is a plus. Familiarity with postpartum hemorrhage and managing pregnancy-induced hypertension is important. Must keep up with intravenous treatments and use external fetal heart monitoring equipment. Candidates should have effective communication and team collaboration skills. Adherence to infection control and isolation precautions is required. Attention to detail in patient care and documentation is essential. Flexibility in scheduling and willingness to meet urgent requirements is necessary.
