- Skills in neonatal care, including eye and thigh care and vitamin K injections
Description:
Locals are eligible for this position at the same rate.
Candidates must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in high acuity and high pace environments.
Candidates must pass a clinical review.
Experience in a high-risk environment is highly preferred, but those with 3 years or more experience will be considered.
Candidates may be required to float between units.
Candidates will work every other weekend and are expected to cover holidays as needed.
Patient diagnoses include a range of high-risk obstetric cases, including midwifery clients and adult recovery services.
The average daily census is 15 patients, with approximately 500-600 deliveries per month.
There are 31 rooms and 31 beds in the unit.
Candidates must be proficient in EPIC electronic fetal monitoring.
Candidates should be prepared to care for newborns immediately after delivery until transfer to postpartum.
Skills required include amnioinfusion, breastfeeding support, neonatal resuscitation, and recognizing abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.
Caring for high-risk antepartum patients and providing postpartum care will also be part of the role.
Pre-approval for time off will be decided on a case-by-case basis.
Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities as required.
Candidates will not directly contact facility staff, except for agreed-upon interviews.
Provisions will be made for necessary communication devices if required for the assignment.
Candidates must commit to working three of five specified holidays.
