Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care on an LDRP unit with 10 LDR beds, 3 triage bays, and 2 OR suites, maintaining a 2 laboring patients to 1 RN ratio
  • Assist with and monitor inductions, spontaneous vaginal deliveries (SVD), and cesarean sections (C/S)
  • Operate unit equipment including GE fetal monitoring, Novii Wireless monitoring, Spectrum IV pumps, and CADD epidural PCA pumps
  • Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
  • Maintain current NRP and BLS certifications throughout the duration of the assignment
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses and nursery staff on night shift
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license valid in Virginia (or compact license eligibility)
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification - required
  • BLS certification - required
  • Travel RN candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification or equivalent experience
  • ACLS certification
  • Experience with Meditech EMR
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented personality
