# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor & Delivery – Kansas

Start Date: August 25, 2026

Location: Wichita, Kansas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts. Self-scheduling available. Patient ratios: 1:1 for high-risk labor and cesarean sections; 1:2 for antepartum, PPROM, preterm labor on magnesium, and postpartum on magnesium; 1:3 for postpartum on magnesium without baby and outpatients.

Highlights:
  • 26-bed unit with comprehensive labor and delivery services including cesarean sections, inductions, high-risk labor management, and outpatient care
  • Team nursing approach with highly experienced staff, including many tenured nurses with 20-40 years of experience
  • EMR: Meditech with CPN (GE) monitoring system; equipment includes Alaris pumps, PCA pumps, and Monica Novii telemetry
  • Self-scheduling system providing excellent work-life balance and staff satisfaction
  • New OB Hospitalist program providing strong attending support to the residency program and triage nurses
  • Strong leadership team that actively supports nurses and works the floor when needed
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital Labor & Delivery RN experience required
  • BLS, ACLS, NRP, and EFM-C or AWHONN certification required
  • Experience circulating cesarean sections preferred
  • High-risk labor and delivery experience preferred
  • Active RN license in good standing
