Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery / LDRP Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), 36 hours per week. Weekend requirement: 8 shifts per 13-week contract. Call may be required during low census periods. Occasional floating may be required.

Highlights
  • LDRP unit with 15 rooms/17 beds serving a low-risk maternal and neonatal population with approximately 80 births per month
  • 8 LDRP rooms, 3 observation rooms, and 3 triage rooms in a community hospital setting
  • Target ratios: Labor & Delivery 1:1-2, Couplet Care 1:3-4 (may fluctuate based on unit needs)
  • EPIC charting system with Pyxis medication management
  • Comprehensive 36-hour orientation including hospital orientation week plus two 12-hour unit shifts
  • Scrubs provided
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience required
  • Must have both Labor & Delivery and Couplet Care experience (LDRP or Mother/Baby)
  • Experience with circulating for C-sections and PACU recovery required
  • North Carolina or Compact state RN license
  • Required Certifications: BLS, NRP, FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring), AWHONN Intermediate or Beginner, STABLE
  • Preferred Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Proficiency in antepartum care, fetal monitoring, IV therapy, medication administration, neonatal care, postpartum care, and pain management
  • Experience with sterile procedures, triage, hemorrhage management, and breastfeeding support
  • Competency in newborn assessment, hypoglycemia management, phototherapy, and neonatal abstinence syndrome
  • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
