A staff of 30 RNs provides care to patients. The typical patient ratio is 2 laboring patients per 1 RN. The equipment utilized includes GE monitoring systems, Novii Wireless monitoring, Spectrum IV pumps, and CADD epidural PCA. EMR system in use is Meditech. Common procedures performed include inductions, cesarean sections, and spontaneous vaginal deliveries. The ideal candidate should possess great communication skills and a friendly demeanor. The dress code requires OR scrubs to be worn on the unit. The unit has a strong team dynamic, comprised of both experienced and new nurses. There is a sense of camaraderie and engagement among staff.
