Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an LDRP setting with nursery responsibilities, including labor and delivery, circulator role, acute care nursery, and OB triage
• Care for GYN surgery patients as part of unit responsibilities
• Manage patient ratios including 1:1 with labor patients, 1:2 with cytotec inductions, 1:1 with mag patients, 1:3 with couplet (mother-baby) care, and 1:1 with sick nursery patients
• Perform independent hearing screenings on newborns
• Administer and manage medications using the Omnicell medication system
• Float to other qualified units or campuses as needed based on census; floating is limited to areas where documented competencies exist

Required Qualifications

• Active RN state license
• Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Labor and Delivery or LDRP unit
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Call and float are required for this assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of Labor and Delivery or LDRP experience preferred
• Experience in a Baby Friendly designated facility
• Cross-training experience across labor and delivery, nursery, OB triage, and circulator roles
