Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of current experience in Labor and Delivery License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, NRP Must-Have: - 2 years of relevant experience - Charge experience preferred - Familiarity with Cerner charting system is a plus Description: Auto Offer - Bi-weekly orientation. On-call duty required for 36 hours every 6 weeks. Weekend requirements include every other weekend or 2 weekends per month. The nurse-patient ratio in the Labor and Delivery unit is 1:2. Travelers requesting time off during any holiday or holiday week will not be accommodated. Holiday time off cannot occur within 14 days of the start date and cannot exceed 7 days. Candidates must provide proof of residency documents within 48 hours of acceptance. Certifications and licenses must be valid at the time of submission and should not expire within 45 days of the start date. Floating may occur based on staffing needs. This position requires administration of medications, IV management, and assistance with deliveries. Travel teams that are related or married cannot work on the same unit. Responsibilities include patient assessments, monitoring fetal heart rates, and providing education to parents. Candidates must possess skills in labor support, newborn care, and postpartum assessment. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment is essential. Clinical experience should comply with current standards. Applicants should be familiar with performing necessary medical procedures and patient education.
