Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in Labor and Delivery License: Current RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, AWHONN Intermediate, NRP, NIHSS (can obtain after acceptance) Must-Have: 2 years current experience in Labor and Delivery Description: MUST HAVE 2 YEARS CURRENT EXPERIENCE IN LABOR AND DELIVERY. On-Call: 2 shifts per 6-week schedule period. Weekend requirements: Every other weekend or 2 weekends per month. Float required. Nurse-Patient Ratio: 1:1-2 (labor); 1:8 (postpartum/couplets). Travelers requesting time off during any holiday or holiday week will not be accommodated. This policy applies to major holidays throughout the year. RTO (Request Time Off) cannot occur within 14 days of start date and cannot exceed 7 days. Candidates must have two years of postpartum experience. Previous charge experience preferred. Familiarity with charting systems is required. Facility births per month range from 200-300. Experience in high-risk antepartum is a plus. Candidates should be able to assist with high-risk delivery and circulate for C-section. Isolation precautions and PPE knowledge is necessary. Nurse clinician is present 24/7 in the unit for support. Previous permanent staff cannot return to the same facility within 24 months. Travel teams that are related or married cannot work in the same unit. Floating is in accordance with current standards. Modules are non-billable and completed during orientation and annually. All certifications and licenses must be current and valid at the time of submission.
