Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferred, with 3 years strongly preferred.
License: Current nursing license required.
Certifications: C-EFM, BLS, NRP, STABLE.
Must-Have:
C-EFM NCC certification required at the time of submission.
Ability to provide charge experience preferred.
Experience with Cerner charting system preferred.
Ability to float between mother/baby care as needed preferred.
Scrub experience preferred.
Description:
The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing care to patients during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period.
The nurse will assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections and provide support to both mothers and newborns.
In this role, the RN will evaluate and monitor the status of patients, conduct assessments, and develop care plans.
The registered nurse will administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.
The RN will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals.
Experience with high-risk pregnancies and complicated deliveries is preferred.
The role requires effective communication skills and the ability to support and educate patients and families.
Flexibility to float to different areas within the unit as needed will be advantageous.
Participation in call shifts is required.
Every other weekend commitment is part of the schedule.
Additionally, the registered nurse must demonstrate knowledge of current evidence-based practices in labor and delivery.
