Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (06:45 - 19:15) Experience: Minimum of 3 Years License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate (preferred) Must-Have: Community Client Experience Preferred Description: Provide care in the Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum settings. Manage labor and delivery, including supporting vaginal births and C-sections. Perform assessments and provide care for postpartum patients. Administer medications and IV therapy. Participate in neonatal care and assist with circumcisions. Conduct non-stress tests and monitor fetal heart rates. Support breastfeeding and lactation for new mothers. Ensure proper care and education for newborns and their parents. Work with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care. Follow protocols for patient safety and infection control. Demonstrate proficiency in emergency care and fetal monitoring. Flexibility to float between departments as needed. Required to be on call for 2 shifts in a 6-week schedule. Maintain a supportive and empathetic approach to patient care. Work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly. Participate in ongoing education and training to improve skills.
