Candidates must have experience caring for gestations of 34 weeks and greater. The position requires proficiency in managing C-sections and External Cephalic Versions. Nurses will provide couplet care in a high risk Labor and Delivery unit, postpartum care, and assist in a Level 2 Special Care Nursery. Responsibilities include administration of blood products, amnioinfusion, and support for breastfeeding. The successful candidate will demonstrate skills in maternal and newborn assessment, pain management, and care of mothers post-delivery. This position involves a patient-centered approach to care and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Candidates should have experience in triaging obstetrical patients and managing complications during labor and delivery.
