Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care on a 16-bed Labor & Delivery unit, maintaining patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
  • Support and manage vaginal deliveries, Cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and C-Hyst procedures
  • Perform immediate newborn care and manage high-risk obstetric patients
  • Operate Baxter Pumps and Phillips electronic fetal monitoring equipment; document in Cerner and Fetal Ink EMR
  • Maintain required certifications including NRP, BLS/ALS, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring
  • Float to MFMU, MOMB, and NICU as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license valid in North Carolina (or compact state eligibility)
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
  • High-risk obstetric experience required
  • Immediate newborn care experience required
  • NRP certification required
  • BLS/ALS certification required
  • Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Circulating experience in the OR setting
  • Outgoing, friendly, and adaptable personality well-suited to a fast-paced Labor & Delivery environment
