Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: State or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRPS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience with patient ratios of 1:2 for labor, 1:3 for antepartum, and 1:3 for mother-baby - Required experience with Epic charting system - Travel experience required Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery. The role requires working night shifts of 12 hours, three times a week. A minimum of two years of experience is necessary. The unit does not accept first-time travelers. The ideal candidate will be skilled in administering blood and blood products. Experience with amnioinfusion, anticoagulation therapy, and antihypertensives is essential. Candidates should be familiar with assessing APGAR scores and assisting with high-risk deliveries. Supporting breastfeeding and providing car seat education are also required. Knowledge of managing postpartum hemorrhage and pregnancy-induced hypertension is critical. The role involves using various medical techniques including starting and maintaining IVs. You will be responsible for triaging obstetrical patients and conducting non-stress tests. Wound assessment and care, as well as patient education on circumcision care, will be part of your duties. Exceptional communication and teamwork skills are necessary for this position. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality care to patients and their families.
