# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – TexasStart Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Austin, Texas

Schedule: 13-week contract, day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), no call requirement, alternating weekendsHighlights:- Join a high-volume, 32-bed Level IV Labor and Delivery unit with a team of 150 experienced staff members- Work with advanced maternal and fetal monitoring equipment including Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, and Toco systems- Maintain optimal patient care with 1:1 or 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios depending on acuity- Electronic Medical Records managed through Meditech- Participate in comprehensive L&D procedures including spontaneous vaginal deliveries, cerclages, cesarean sections, and TOLAC- Opportunity for internal placement for permanent positionsRequirements:- Active RN license in Texas or compact state eligibility- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery- Demonstrated competency in electronic fetal monitoring (EFM), sterile vaginal exams (SVE), and cesarean section circulation- Experience with internal fetal monitor placement preferred- Previous high-volume Level IV unit experience highly desirableWhy It's a Great Opportunity:This position offers the chance to work in a dynamic, high-acuity Labor and Delivery environment where you'll be part of a large, collaborative team dedicated to providing exceptional maternal-newborn care.
