# Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – Virginia
Start Date: October 12, 2026
Location: Salem, Virginia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week; includes 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; block scheduling available; huddle-ready at 6:45 AM
Highlights:- 17-bed inpatient Labor & Delivery unit plus 2 triage beds with 1:1-2 patient ratios
- Advanced monitoring technology including Monica Novii, ambulatory telemetry monitors, and GE EFM
- Electronic documentation using Meditech and Centricity systems
- Comprehensive clinical experience including vaginal deliveries, C-section circulation, PACU recovery, and antepartum triage
- Floating limited to Mother-Baby/Postpartum units only
- Hospital-provided scrubs for convenient uniform management
Requirements:- Active RN licensure
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or C-EFM certification preferred
- Labor and delivery experience with demonstrated competency in strip interpretation
- Proficiency in IV insertion, lab draws, blood administration, and nitrous administration
- Experience with vaginal exams, delivery table setup, C-section circulating, and PACU recovery for spinal anesthesia
- Knowledge of JADA and BAKRI devices, common OB medications, and obstetrical complications
- Ability to assist with epidural placement, ECV, vacuum, and forceps deliveries
